Can a person be charged with anything if they knowingly spread a non-lethal STD?

Let's say some guy is a real �sshole and is dating a girl. At first they use condoms but then he convinces her not to because she's on the pill and they are both being responsible so there is no need for condoms. However, he knows he has herpes and he knowingly infects her and then dumps her and moves on to the next girl. He's a sick bastard like that. Can he be charged with anything for deliberately spreading this STD?
